NOTICE TO BIDDERS TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH PARK ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Separate and sealed bids for the 2014 SEAL COATING OF VARIOUS STREETS - CONTRACT NO. SP2013-65, under one contract, consisting of but not limited to: All labor, equipment and material to single seal coat the following streets: Ridge Road from Abbey Lane to Bristol Drive Ridge Road from Bristol Drive to Piney Ridge Drive Ridge Road from Piney Ridge Drive to Riggs Road Triphammer Road from Bridge to Fay Street Triphammer Road from Fay Street to Radstock Drive Triphammer Road from Radstock Drive to Evans Field Entrance Triphammer Road from Evans Field Entrance to South Hills Landfill Entrance Triphammer Road from South Hills Landfill Entrance to Ridgeway Drive Triphammer Road from Ridgeway Drive to Julie Drive Triphammer Road from Julie Drive to Brownsville Road Ext. in the Township of South Park, a total of 20,947 s.y. Bids will be received at the Township of South Park Municipal Building, 2675 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA 15129 until 9:30 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 and bids will be publicly opened and read aloud that same date at a meeting beginning at 10:00 a.m. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded at the Public Meeting of the South Park Township Board of Supervisors beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014. NOTE: Work to be performed between July 15 and August 15, 2014. Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of Timothy B. Fyock, P.E. (Benchmark Engineering & Construction Co., Inc.) - P.O. Box 53, 1332 Route 30, Laughlintown, PA 15655, or at the office of the Township of South Park between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from either office beginning Monday, January 13, 2014 upon payment of $35.00 made payable to BENCHMARK ENGINEERING. The payment is nonrefundable. If documents are to be mailed, add $7.00 for postage and handling. Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Municipality. PennDOT Form 408 Requirements apply to this contract. Only PennDOT pre-qualified contractors will be eligible to submit bids for this project. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all proposals. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania made to the order of the Township of South Park, Allegheny County, in an amount equal to or greater than ten percent (10%) of the total of the amount of the Proposal. All bids shall remain irrevocable for 60 days after the actual date of the opening in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978. A recommended Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Township of South Park, 2675 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA 15129, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
