ADVERTISEMENT Sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Pine, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania at the Township office located at 230 Pearce Mill Road, Wexford, Pennsylvania 15090 until 11:00 AM prevailing time on July 12, 2017, for: CONTRACT NO. 17-PK1 PINE TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY CENTER FIBER CEMENT BOARD SIDING REPLACEMENT The scope of work includes the removal, cleaning, painting and re-installation of the existing fiber cement board siding and trim of the southern side of the Pine Township Community Center (approximately 1,900 SF). Also includes miscellaneous caulking, replacement of missing or damaged siding, painting, all necessary appurtenances and restoration of said construction. There are three add alternates for an additional 3,450 SF of siding and trim re-installation including all preparation and painting. All work shall be constructed according to drawings and specifications which are on file at the office of the Owner and Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering, Inc.; 846 Fourth Avenue; Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108-1522. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud approximately at 11:00 AM on July 12, 2017, at the Township office. Bid Documents are being distributed by F. L. Haus Company, 921 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All bidders are required to buy the full set of drawings and specifications for a non-fundable deposit of $50.00 from F. L. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Township. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Township of Pine to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania "Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3"; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply. The Township shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Township may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Township has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.
