MUNICIPALITY OF BETHEL PARK ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA NOTICE OF BIDS Sealed Proposals will be received by the Municipality of Bethel Park, Allegheny County, PA for the Replacement of Exterior Concrete at existing Municipal Facilities as follows: The bid involves (but not limited to) selective demolition of existing concrete pavement, sub grade excavation & preparation, new sub base preparation & installation of new exterior concrete pavement as indicated within the construction documents and related to the following facilities located within the Municipality of Bethel Park; 1) Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15102 2) Tri-Community South EMS, 5490 Progress Blvd., Bethel Park, PA 15102 The project will be bid as a single-prime contract and include all work indicated within the bid documents within this contract. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 5100 West Library Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15120 on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. The project sites will be available for walk-thru after this meeting. All bids must be addressed and in the hands of the Municipal Manager; Shawn Arbaugh, Municipality of Bethel Park, 5100 West Library Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15102 before 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Monday, August 6th, 2018 and the same will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clear¬ly marked on the outside with the words MUNICIPALITY OF BETHEL PARK- FACILITIES EXTERIOR CONCRETE REPLACEMENT PROJECT. Pennsylvania prevailing wages shall be paid on this project and wage determination rates are included within the Project Manual. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement may be directly purchased (for the cost of printing) at; Accu-Copy Reprographics (724-935-7055). No refund will be made for the return of any documents. All questions related to the project shall be addressed to Mark Edelmann at EPM Architecture at 724-933-0229. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Municipality of Bethel Park in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal. All proposals will remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening. The Municipal Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or any part thereof for any reason and reserves the right to waive any informality therein or to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder.
