INVITATION FOR BIDS The New Kensington-Arnold School District, 707 Stevenson Blvd., New Kensington PA 15068, will receive separate bids for the Fire Suppression and Waterline Replacement Project at the Valley Jr. Sr. High School and Northern Westmoreland Career and Technical Center. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as detailed in the Bid Proposal. Segregated Bids will not be accepted. The New Kensington-Arnold School District will receive sealed Bids mailed to 707 Stevenson Blvd, New Kensington, PA 15068, ATTN; Mr. Jeffery McVey, Administrator Financial Services, until 10:00 a.m. on July 24, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time shall not be accepted. All interested parties may attend. The Bids must be sealed and marked: Valley Jr. Sr. High School and Northern Westmoreland Career and Technical Center. Fire Suppression/Waterline Replacement Project (Rebid) Bid Documents are being distributed, by Gibson-Thomas Engineering, P.O. Box 853, 1004 Ligonier Street, Latrobe PA 15650. All prime bidders are REQUIRED to buy the full set of plans and specifications. No documents will be distributed until payment of a non-refundable payment of $150.00. Free examination of said documents is available at the office of Gibson-Thomas Engineering at their Latrobe office. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the New Kensington-Arnold School District, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the acceptable sureties, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bids, shall be submitted with each bid. The surety must be a Guarantee or Surety Company acceptable to the U.S. Government as published in Department of Treasury's Circular 570, latest edition and must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Contract for work under this Bid will obligate the Prime Contractor and subcontractors to comply with the requirements of Acts and Regulations of the Department of Labor and Industry of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Minimum Wage Rates to be paid. The New Kensington-Arnold School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of the bids. Mr. Jeffery McVey Administrator Financial Services
